Mission
The Recruiting Committee is responsible for planning and coordinating all recruiting activities throughout the year. The committee is also responsible for organizing the interview and selection process.
Time Allocation
The majority of time allocated to this committee will be between February and July, which is officially recruiting season. The application and interview process and several recruiting events during this time period will keep the committee busy. In the fall and winter, the committee will focus on creating an action plan for the recruiting season and on encouraging potential candidates.
Goals and Responsibilities
Implement a plan for community outreach to diverse organizations and organizations not traditionally a part of the Chamber of Commerce to increase visibility of and interest in Centurions.
Refine recruiting events to offer more frequent and diverse opportunities for potential candidates to learn about the program. To that end, host at least five events and the annual award ceremony, some in locations other than The Chamber
Make recruiting and introduction to the program the sole purpose of all recruiting events
Send a direct mailing to all alumni asking for suggestions and referral of potential candidates
Encourage alumni to bring potential candidates to alumni holiday reception and other Centurions events at which alumni are present
Regularly forward Fast Facts to list of potential candidates
Analyze prior year candidate pool for gaps. Target specific nonrepresented organizations by meeting with executives through active and/or alumni network.
Evaluate the application and interview process and offer suggestions for refinement/change.
Who We Need
We need you to be a part of the recruiting process! We especially want those of you who are interested in being involved in shaping the makeup of future classes and who are excited to share their Centurions experience with potential candidates.
