Mission
The Social Committee plans activities that will appeal to as many Centurions as possible (actives and alumni) and provide them with a more relaxed and casual atmosphere in which to become better acquainted.
Time Allocation
This is an ongoing committee, but you have flexibility in selecting the social events you lead based on your workload. Meetings take place as scheduled by the committee, usually once a month at a time convenient to most members. Members will take turns attending social events to ensure the committee is represented.
Responsibilities
Provide unique events for the Centurions (and significant others) that will attract greater involvement
• Facilitate more interaction between Centurions.
• Involve significant others early on in the process to help earn their "buy in" of the Centurion commitment.
• Provide more qualitative social activity (i.e. – more than a happy hour).
• Arrange for socials after every task force.
• In addition to task force socials, provide approximately six very creative and rare opportunities, so a Centurion will make it a high priority to attend them.
Who We Need
If you are a Centurion who enjoys planning activities for large groups of people, this is the committee for you. First-year Centurions who are creative, are energetic and like to have fun are also highly sought.
