Tours of The Roasterie begin at 8 a.m. sharp, and the bus leaves at 8:30 a.m.

Parking is available at Boulevard Brewing Co., so please allow yourself time to walk a few blocks from the brewery to The Roasterie. We'll wind up at Boulevard by the end of the day, and plan to stick around for a recruiting social with plenty of drinks and barbecue to go around.

Description and Goals
Kansas City is well known for its barbecue, but some may not realize the significant economic impact the food industry has in Kansas City and issues facing it. The city is home to the KC Board of Trade as well as many other food industry related business. Learn more about the companies and their impact on KC. Explore the labor market issues and the production of food, and back of house at restaurants. Meet the people who are in the industry and help support the industry.
