Socials and Events
Centurions Wine Tasting Event | 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. | Thursday, November 19, 2009 | Cellar Rat Wine Merchants | $20 plus tax
Come join your fellow Centurions and their spouses/significant others on a short trip through the fascinating world of wine! We will be sampling eight wines, but this year, we are introducing a special challenge. Four of the wines will be tasted blind!
As with any great challenge, there must be a reward: When you arrive at the social you will receive a handout that lists four unknown wines. Under each wine, you will have multiple choice questions/answers about where it is from, what type of grape etc. The person who gets all four wines correct will win a $50 gift card to the Cellar Rat to use that night or later!
But wait, there's more! The owners of Cellar Rat Wine Merchants are not only graciously hosting the Centurions, they have put the entire store on sale. For that night only, you'll receive 10 percent off any bottle of wine in the store. We are encouraging all of you to take advantage of this great opportunity!
And in addition to the eight great wines we will be tasting, there will be artisan meat & cheese plates!
You must pre-pay by calling Cellar Rat at (816) 221-9463 no later than November 17. Mention "Centurions Wine Tasting Event."
Receipts will be provided the night of the event.
