Greater Kansas City Day Charity Nominations
Request for Charity Nominations
Each year we get to keep a portion of the money collected by Centurions to pass on to a charity of our choice. This year the selection process will be handled by the Centurions Alumni Association.
The Charity must benefit children, with an emphasis on the underprivileged and/or disabled and MUST be a 501(c)3. The intent is to help Kansas City area children.
Historically, we have avoided choosing the same charity more than once. Prior awards either from Greater Kansas City Day or Royal Roundup for Kids have gone to:

Pod Theme - CNL Centurions Night Live. As a pod, select Saturday Night Live character(s) you would like to portray. Submit your pod theme to mdx@americancentury.com or jruf@firstscoutrealty.com No duplicates will be allowed, therefore it is a first come/first serve basis.
Wednesday night's social will require your Pod to
dress up in costume. A short introduction is appropriate but no skits - hold onto your acting skills in case you need them at the December Task Force. Table centerpieces are not required this year, although any accessories/decorations that would enhance your Pod Theme are welcome.
Thursday night's social - Class Reunion
There is no expectation to dress up in high school attire for this event. Come as you would if you were going out for a Centurions Happy Hour (2nd yrs have practice by now). Dress comfortably and prepared to have some fun.
IMPORTANT - Everyone needs to submit a photo of yourself in your high school prime to Melissa Dailey prior to Sept 1. Believe me, you don't want to leave this up to photoshop! (This does not have to be a yearbook photo)

Don Coleman, Class of 1982, has been elected president of the Riverside/Quindaro Bend Levee District where he has served as a board member for the past 17 years. The Levee District recently completed construction of a new $80 million levee surrounding the city of Riverside which has allowed the city to construct the new Horizons Parkway, opening the Riverside bottoms for development.
