What does your company do, and what is your role there?
AECOM is a global architecture, engineering and technical services firm that provides solutions for the built environment. I am an associate, working as an architectural designer and LEED AP in various program and project management roles.

Other organizations you volunteer or serve with:
Friends of Hale Cook (Chair); AIA Center for Civic Leadership; AIA Central States Region (Board Member); AIA Kansas City; Planned Industrial Expansion Authority

First job ever: The Mayflower Shop in Chatham, MA – first job that required a work permit at 14 years old – all previous experience was “off-the-books.”

If you had to do without one of your five senses, which would it be? Sight. That way I can still enjoy music and food.

Have you ever milked a cow?
Yes.

Do you use Twitter? No – although oddly enough I have an account with followers.

What’s a restaurant or dish you’ve always wanted to try?
Anything I haven’t had before – I will always try something new.

What’s the best thing since sliced bread? Peanut butter.

What was your favorite activity (organized or otherwise) as a child?
Dodgeball on bikes. Very dangerous in retrospect but a ton of fun growing up!

What is the easiest way you’ve found to “go green”? J
ust being practical – using less because its cost effective, reusing because I hate to shop, purchasing wisely because so I don’t have to take out the garbage.

What was the first long trip you ever took?
London, U.K., at 8 years old. It was incredible – QE2 voyage there, Concorde flight back. I have never traveled so well since!

Do you have a hidden talent?
As a child, I could write very efficiently in mirror-image (like Leonardo da Vinci). Hasn’t proven too useful as an adult.
