What does your company do, and what is your role there?
Walter P. Moore and Associates, Inc. is an engineering firm that provides structural engineering, structural diagnostics, civil, traffic, and transportation engineering services to public and private sector clients. My role as a team director in the civil engineering services group includes designing projects, managing a team of civil engineers and business development activities.

Other organizations you volunteer or serve with:
Big Brothers Big Sisters, Coaster Kids (program for kids dealing with divorced parents), American Public Works Association (APWA), and Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE).

First job ever: Bus boy at the Chillicothe, Mo., Country Club when I was 13.

If you had to do without one of your five senses, which would it be?
Smell.

Have you ever milked a cow? No. (That’s not going to be part of the Agribusiness Task Force, is it?)

Do you use Twitter?
No. I can hardly keep up with Facebook.

What’s a restaurant or dish you’ve always wanted to try?
Caviar. That’s the one “fancy” dish you always heard about as a kid, but I’ve never tried it.

What’s the best thing since sliced bread? DVR.

What was your favorite activity (organized or otherwise) as a child? We would organize football games with all the kids in the neighborhood.

What is the easiest way you’ve found to “go green”? Recycling. They make it pretty easy to do around here.

What was the first long trip you ever took? My family went on annual ski trips when I was very young, so that was probably my first trip.

Do you have a hidden talent? Yes, but it shall remain hidden. (Otherwise I’m afraid I’ll have to do it at retreat).
