What does your company do and what is your role there? Walter P. Moore and Associates, Inc. is an engineering firm that provides structural engineering, structural diagnostics, civil, traffic, and transportation engineering services to public and private sector clients.  My role, as a team director in the civil engineering services group, includes designing projects, managing a team of civil engineers and business development activities.

Other organizations you volunteer or serve with: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Coaster Kids (program for kids dealing with divorced parents), American Public Works Association (APWA), and Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE).  

First job ever: Bus boy at the Chillicothe, Missouri Country Club when I was 13.

Town you first voted in: Columbia, Missouri.

What would you do for a Klondike Bar? Nothing. (I don’t like chocolate…I know, weird.)

What do you love about KC? What unique asset sells KC? I love that we’re a City with a “small town” feel, but we have “big city” resources and entertainment options. 

Have you ever broken a bone? Nope. (But thanks for jinxing me.)

Are you a Mac or PC? PC.

Best (or worst) sporting event you’ve attended: The best was the 2007 MU/KU football game at Arrowhead (and College Gameday that morning).

KC place that is on your bucket list to visit: Steamboat Arabia Museum.

Best Kansas City shortcut: Still looking for one.
