What does your company do, and what is your role there?
I am the director of the Business Career Services Center for the Business School at the University of Kansas. Our team works with prospective students, current students, faculty, boards of advisors, employers/recruiting organizations, and alumni.  Our main goal is to facilitate career management strategies and meaningful career-relevant employment (internship and full-time) for our students and alumni.

Other organizations you volunteer or serve with:  I currently serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Wyandotte County. I have volunteered regularly with SAFEHOME and the American Cancer Society in the past.

First job ever: Godfather’s Pizza.

If you had to do without one of your five senses, which would it be? Smell.

Have you ever milked a cow? Yes, at Shatto!

Do you use Twitter? Not regularly. I’ve had an account for a few years, but only check Twitter occasionally - @jjordankc.

What’s a restaurant or dish you’ve always wanted to try? Justus Drugstore is at the top of my to-visit list.

What’s the best thing since sliced bread? iPod.

What was your favorite activity (organized or otherwise) as a child? Summer camp.

What is the easiest way you’ve found to “go green”?
Ripple Glass makes it so easy to recycle glass.

What was the first long trip you ever took? I had various family vacations growing up, but I spent the summer between college and grad school working at a resort in central Oregon. It was a road trip there and back with many small trips along northern California and Oregon’s coast that summer.

Do you have a hidden talent? Not any that I’ve discovered yet ... .
