Kelli Christman
Cerner Corporation
Class of 2012
Chair, Entrepreneurship Task Force
Legacy Committee
Retreat Committee
What does your company do, and what is your role there?
Cerner is a health care technology company with business in more than 30 countries around the world. I am responsible for the company’s public relations and media relations activities.
Other organizations you volunteer or serve with:
Project Uplift, Operation Breakthrough, First Hand Foundation.
First job ever:
Babysitting.
If you had to do without one of your five senses, which would it be?
Definitely smell. I have a sensitive nose and it is not usually a good thing.
Have you ever milked a cow?
Yes! I’ve also tagged a cow.
Do you use Twitter?
Yes, mostly for work.
What’s a restaurant or dish you’ve always wanted to try?
I haven’t really done the BBQ tour of KC. I’m pretty much an Oklahoma Joe’s purist, but I’d like to try some of the others.
What’s the best thing since sliced bread?
The automation and coordination of health care, of course!
What was your favorite activity (organized or otherwise) as a child?
Swimming. I hated T-ball because I had to be on an all-boys team. Plus it gets really hot in the summer.
What is the easiest way you’ve found to “go green”?
I’ve changed all of the light bulbs in my house and try to keep the thermostat at a reasonable temperature. Would love if KC had an easy and convenient public transportation system.
What was the first long trip you ever took?
My family went to Colorado every year growing up. That was a LONG road trip.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I am awesome at Rock Band. Not so much with real instruments though.
