What does your company do, and what is your role there? Hays Companies is an insurance brokerage firm specializing in property and casualty and benefits. I persuade prospects to be clients.

Other organizations you volunteer or serve with: Girl Scouts of NE KS and NW MO (board member), United Way (ambassador for their workplace campaign), Bishop Ward High School Mentor Program.

First job ever: Busboy at Perkins.

If you had to do without one of your five senses, which would it be? I am just thankful to have them all!

Have you ever milked a cow? I have been to a dairy farm but never milked a cow.

Do you use Twitter? I wish I was that interesting!

What’s a restaurant or dish you’ve always wanted to try? Westport Flea Market … surprisingly have never had a burger from there.

What’s the best thing since sliced bread? The cell phone.

What was your favorite activity (organized or otherwise) as a child? Neighborhood game of baseball in the neighbors backyard followed by an afternoon at the local pool.

What is the easiest way you’ve found to “go green”? Using our own grocery bags.

What was the first long trip you ever took? Driving from Kansas City to Akron, Ohio, to see my grandparents. As a kid, it seemed like it took forever!
