Benchmarking Trip Task Force
What does your company do and what is your role there?
I’m a managing supervisor at Fleishman-Hillard International Communications within the Food and Agribusiness team. I’m responsible for leading solution-based integrated marketing programs that include media relations, digital communications and influencer outreach.
Other organizations you volunteer or serve with:
Marketing chair for Encore, the young friends’ organization for Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
First job ever:
Barista at Panera in Springfield, Missouri.
Town you first voted in:
Columbia, Missouri.
What do you love about KC?
KC’s arts renaissance. Whether you prefer a larger institution like the Nelson-Atkins and the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts or local efforts like Quixotic Performance Fusion, the Charlotte Street Foundation or Hello Art, the arts are alive and accessible in KC.
Have you ever broken a bone?
Yes! I was riding my bike, tried to turn into the driveway, but hit a fire hydrant instead. I wore a giant cast during my first communion. My mother was appalled.
Are you a Mac or PC?
I use a PC at work, but a Mac at home.
Best sporting event you’ve attended:
In K.C.? I loved the Manchester United vs. KC Sporting Club (then, the Wizards) game last year. The number of supporters that came out for the game was fantastic.
KC place that is on your bucket list to visit:
I still have not gone to the WWI Museum. I’m embarrassed to admit it.
Best Kansas City shortcut:
There are lots of little shortcuts in the Crossroads that save a few minutes here and there. But avoid travelling too fast through the cobbled alleyways.
