I am associate editor for online content at the Kansas City Business Journal.

First job ever: Chopping weeds out of my grandpa’s soybean fields.
 
If you had to do without one of your five senses, which would it be? Smell.
 
Have you ever milked a cow?
Yes — my dad is a small-town Nebraska veterinarian.

What’s a restaurant or dish you’ve always wanted to try?
Gelato in Italy.
 
What’s the best thing since sliced bread? Under Armour. (Ever try to run outside during KC winters??)
 
What was your favorite activity (organized or otherwise) as a child? Going on vet calls with my dad, baking and reading with my grandma, roller skating at the Town Hall.
 
What is the easiest way you’ve found to “go green”? Turn off/unplug things I’m not using.
 
What was the first long trip you ever took? Visiting my Canadian relatives.
 
Do you have a hidden talent? Yes. ;)
